I’d love to go up to Green Bay for the fest this weekend. I think I’d be most interested in seeing Ben Folds… he was at Bonnaroo, but since his set was the same time as Levon Helm and Rilo Kiley, I didn’t get to see as much of him as I would’ve liked.

  2. blake Says:

I’d love to go… My parents live in Green Bay so it would give me an excuse to go up and see them. (That, and I haven’t gotten around to seeing Death Cab live yet)

  3. Dave Says:

I’d definitely like to go. I use to live there, and my sister still does. Good to see Green Bay getting some good acts. I’d most like to see M. Ward.

  4. Porter Says:

Haven’t seen Ben Folds since Riverstages in Nashville in ‘98. Used to drive around in a Dodge Omni listening to Ben Folds mix tapes. Whew! Plus, would love to see Ben Harper again and Death Cab would be a first.

  5. Eric308 Says:

My only reason would be to see Jewel. Rumor has it that she has had that snaggle tooth corrected and I’d like to see the proof. On top of that, Ben Gibbard is my half-brother from a previous cousin and he missed our reunion in the Twin Cities (Adams-Friendship) last summer. I also am looking forward to the Postal Service who I heard were making a surprise appearance.

  6. Aaron Says:

Wow…that’s a random yet way sweet lineup. I missed m. ward a few weeks ago because i was in LA for work (where I missed Beck/Spoon/MGMT because it was way sold out) so that’s #1 on my list. I’ll be up there already visiting my Grandma on Friday, but it would definitely be sweet to see Ben Harper/Ben Folds and the rest of the show as part of the deal!

  7. Bloody P Says:

Please, please pick me. I live in Horicon, for god’s sake! The only band we get here is Vic Ferrari. The sad part is I sort of look forward to his once-a-year visits.

    SAVE ME FROM MY MISERY.

Hands down, I would love to see Ben Folds (for the back catalog, new album is sort of ‘meh’) and DCFC. If the above statement about the Postal Service appearance is true, that’s just icing on carrot cake.

I would take my wife, who’s secret lesbian dreams would finally come true if she saw Ingrid Michaelson live.

Please save me from future divorce (I could bring this up at any time, and she would relent) by choosing me for the tix.

Plus, I’ll buy you a beer or two up there.

I’m Bloody P, and I approve this message.

  8. Katie Says:

Wow, you don’t even know how excited I would be to go to this! I would definitely be most excited about seeing M. Ward and Ingrid Michaelson (two of my faves) but would also love to see Death Cab. There’s just too much good music to pass up! I would DEFINITELY make the trip to Green Bay. If only, if only…

  9. Jenny Says:

I would love to see all of them, particularly Death Cab for Cutie, M. Ward, INgrid Michaelson, and Ben Folds. As a Milwaukee native, I would drive from my new residence in Chicago to Green Bay for this in a heartbeat. That’s an amazing line-up all around!

  10. Jenny Says:

Also, I miss the Wisconsin concert scene. Shows there are the perfect size. And if the rumor about the Postal Service is true, that would be a first for me and truly exciting…not to mention a rare opportunity!!!

  11. AJ Says:

hahaha id love to go to this, especially to see death cab though they got some good names beyond what they advertise (pretty much just death cab, ben folds, jewel as opposed to adding m. ward and ingrid). seeing as im from green bay, i still cant believe they had to ball so finally book a good concert AND book it while im at school in madison. to me, i really dont see the demographic they are trying to reach by having it in green bay, no one there listens to good music (inless they end up going off to a school far from)…. so, i’d love to do my part and make the trip home to support some good music finally make it to green bay!!!

  12. Leslie Says:

Oh my! I’d LOOOOOOVE to head up to Green Bay (from Racine) for this show! Can’t even decide who I want to hear the most — they’re mostly all faves of mine!! Ingrid. No, Death Cab. Wait . . . maybe the Bens. Aah! I’m actually having a hard time believing such a great group of artists would grace Wisconsin all at once. So, please pick me. It’s been ages since the hubs and I have been able to sneak off for a decent date, and this one would be perfect!

  13. Mike Says:

Bad economy, I am teetering on job loss and my wife an I have not been to a concert in years. What a great opportunity for someone. Good luck everyone.

  14. the night owl Says:

Don’t forget to catch the opening act - The Boys Choir of Kenya with the Marquette University High School Chorus. All these guys are excited to share the same stage with the big rock acts. Even if you don’t get the tix from MOB, go anyway and contribute to a great cause.

  15. Holly Says:

I didn’t even know this show was going on, but I’d LOVE to make the trip up north. I have never caught Ben folds live, haven’t seen Ben Harper in 4 years, and would love to hear death cab’s new stuff live, but I’d be most excited to see M. Ward… It’s been a really rough week already (had to put my dog down sun. night) and I can’t imagine a better way to end it than hearing that voice live….

  16. Kevin Says:

I would awesome and awesome if I got to go to this show. Would love to see Ben Folds and M Ward to finally figure out what everyone is talking about.

  17. Joseph Says:

I’d really love to go to the show this weekend. I’ve wanted to see Death Cab in concert ever since I started listening to their music during my unfortunate mobilization with the Army Reserve. Apparently the brooding sentimentality of Ben Gibbard really hits the spot when somebody is miserable.

I also really like the other Bens (Harper and Folds), and my girlfriend likes the same stuff as well.

  18. Jennifer Says:

I would love to see all the artists but probably my favorite would be Ben Harper. His music is so chill he can tame even the wildest beast.

Ben Folds and Death Cab for Cutie are also a major thrill. This is a concert for the books.

  19. Cara Says:

We are headed to central WI for a desperately-needed weekend away and would love to go to the show. Seeing Ben Harper, Death Cab for Cutie, etc would be the perfect ending to a week that started with the AMAZING Ryan Adams show last Sunday.

    Good luck y’all.

  20. Sara Says:

I love going to see live shows. I really want to go, but can not afford the ticket prices! Ben Harper is one of my favorities and I would love to see Death Cab for Cutie. Pick me PLEASE!!!!!!!!

  21. Angelia Says:

My boyfriend and I initially clicked in large part due to our shared love of good music. He had recently moved back to Wisconsin after a few years of attending grad school in North Dakota… you think NE Wisconsin doesn’t have much of a music scene, try Grand Forks, ND. He didn’t know a soul who had even heard of Death Cab and was ecstatic when he saw my compilation of DCFC cd’s sitting next to my stereo the first night we met. We used to attend live shows all the time (when we met about 5 years ago), but haven’t been to one in ages and have never seen Death Cab together live (I’m sad to say, I’ve never seen them live at all). We were contemplating making the trip to this concert, and free tickets would definitely help us make our decision! Please, please, please! There isn’t a single artist/band playing that we wouldn’t be thrilled to see live, but it would be particularly great to see DCFC.
