Photos: The Magnetic Fields, Capitol Theater, Madison

The Magentic Fields played the Capitol Theater in Madison last night in support of their most recent release, Distortion. MoB photographer Ed Oliver was on hand to capture some images from the evening.

    Good review — but you are out of your gourd to say that Shirley Simms sounds like Blossom Dearie! They have nothing in common — except, of course, that both are awesome.

    OK, I still don’t think it’s right, but you’ve convinced me it’s not crazy.

    Why hasn’t Blossom ever sung a Merritt track, actually? I think she’d be a natural fit.
