Let’s do a little Halloween Giveaway. No candy, but how about a new hat? We’ve got a fitted (7 5/8) New Era + the Fader High Places hat to give away. That’s it above. Pretty slick.
Many of you caught High Places live for the first time at either the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago or the Forward Music Festival here in Madison. If you’ve yet to pick up their self-titled record, it’s gotta some pretty high praise.

I have a great weekend of music ahead of me – I’m seeing Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks tonight, going to a Halloween Festival at a house venue on Baldwin Street tomorrow, and then on Saturday I am fortunate enough to have a ticket to see Feingold/Baldwin/Wilco.

I am attending my friends show on Friday in Schererville, Indiana….they go by the name “The Diggity” and there is going to be other bands that I promote for there as well, “Chester Brown” and “Funkshoe” along with “Mr. Blotto”
I plan on setting up the merch booth there and I am also attending that Pumpkins show on the 21st (that I mentioned in another post)

Nothing planned for this weekend (I envy all of you seeing Wilco and Feingold!), but next weekend I’ll be in Washington DC watching a childhood friend and his band (called “&Me,” yes “&Me”) perform at Greenfest DC. Also, for what it matters, the hat is in my size. I’m a 7 3/4 if I don’t keep my hair cut, though.

Let me tell ya, if there is a concert that I MOST WANT to see, it is Animal Collective’s next.
There new album will knock everybody’s socks off.

Tonight I will be going and seeing The Toxic Avenger with Frankie Chan, then tomorrow I will be going to a halloween house party with Trifina Trifosa, Wampire, Aeries palisade, Such an Offer From the Eels and Infinite Body. On saturday i’ll finish the weekend off with Diplo, Abe Vigoda, Telepath, and Boy 8 Bit.
