“You are about to be transported to another age: swinging London in the late 60′s. The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus is a time capsule. Two days in December 1968 that in many ways capture the spontaneity, aspirations and communal spirit of an entire era.
…for a brief moment it seemed that rock ‘n’ roll would inherit the earth.”
Indeed possibly one of my very first WTF moments. Watching and getting acquainted with The Rolling Stones for the first time at the age of 16, watching all these legendary performers trot out the bizarre, almost laughable costumes, but manage to pull me in and, most importantly, give me my first glimpse of The Who, that would turn into now over a decade of fandom.

Discuss: Thoughts on the Rock & Roll Circus? Did The Who upstage The Stones? Who’s better (in your opinion) The Stones and The Who? Is Jethro Tull really singing? Should current bands put on a rock and roll circus?
