I have my friend the Drunkard to thank for turning me on to the Vetiver’s Thing of The Past collection of covers. The recent Sup Pop signees apparently had a few more tunes stashed away that appear on the recently released five-song EP, More Of The Past. My favorite, “See You Tonight,” is a pretty folk-pop number that clocks in under three minutes, but is all diamonds.

More Of The Past and it’s predecessor come highly recommended to anyone who considers themselves a fan of old-school pop sprinkled with some Appalachian folk.

Vetiver are holding down support duties on the upcoming tour with The Black Crowes and have an upcoming long-player, Tight Knit, expected in February of next year on Sub Pop.
