From The Crowd: The Rosebuds + Megafaun

Good times at the High Noon Saloon last night. Milwaukee’s own The Celebrated Workingman got things off to a great start. They’re certainly one of my favorite Wisconsin bands right now. Megafaun followed doing what they do best to a crowd that included a lot of friends and familiar faces. Finally, The Rosebuds put on a high energy, dance set that rivaled all the fun and feel of the previous time I saw them. If you’ve yet to pick up any of these groups recent releases, you’re doing yourself a disservice.

Last night was also a night of collaboration. First, watch as Megafaun tear through their “Lazy Suicide,” augmented by handing out instruments to the crowd and encouraging a sing-along of The Rosebuds “Get Up Get Out” and “It Don’t Mean Nothing At All.”

Finally, The Rosebuds ended their show within the crowd. Performing an acoustic version of “Nice Fox” with Brad Cook of Megafaun on banjo and also heavy on audience participation. The video below is mostly for listening purposes as the High Noon doesn’t lend itself to much for lighting. Great night.
