Margot and The Nuclear So & So’s performed “As Tall As Cliffs” live on Conan O’Brien last night. The track comes via the group’s Animal/Not Animal release(s) this year. It’s one of our favorite tracks of the year, but doesn’t come close visually or humorously to this version.
The band recently stopped by Laundro-Matinee for a new session of audio and video.

Elsewhere: Chromewaves reviews the new Pale Young Gentlemen release, Black Forest (Tra La La). They’re returning home to Madison to play an early show at the High Noon Saloon this Saturday.
Greg Kot reviews the return of the Smashing Pumpkins to Chicago. I’m now pretty satisfied that I went against my former inclination of attending one of these shows.
Today is the last day to enter to win a pair of tickets to Chicago Bluegrass and Blues Festival this Saturday as well as tickets to see William Fitzsimmons at the Chicago House of Blues. Either way Chicago, we’ve got you covered.
