The Gaslight Anthem put on a pretty good showing at the High Noon Saloon recently. The ’59 Sound is a record we can really get behind. Though we already named it as one of our favorite songs of the year, it’s worth giving “Miles Davis & The Cool” a little love in it’s own right. Take a listen and buy the record on our recommendation.

Amazing song from an amazing album, no doubt! Anyone who haven’t already bought it should just run over to Amazon and get it immediately.

This is probably my favorite album of the year, definitely top three. I couldn’t tell you which song off the album was my overall favorite because they’re all strong. I like “The Backseat” which is the perfect album closing track – it just makes me play the whole thing again.
One of my biggest regrets was missing the High Noon show. I was halfway through a vacation in Ireland, but it’s a testament to how much I’m into this band that I priced out options for flying back. In the end I settled for my friends’ descriptions.
