Paul Cebar :: She Found A Fool

Paul Cebar is no stranger to anyone with a finger on the musical lineage in the city of Milwaukee. To call Cebar’s music a melting pot, might, at first, come off as lazy, but it’s the truth. Anyone who owns his records, seen him live, heard his radio show quickly realizes his influence and interest culls many genres including old school Funk/R&B, World, Rock, Folk - it’s all right there within his records and live performances.

I own two of his albums, both well-worn, and now recently resurfaced to remind me just what a treasure Paul Cebar is. Last night I spun The Get-Go, a perfect late night record, which is probably best suited for warm summer nights, but also fits nicely with special days and causes for celebration. Below you’ll find his two upcoming Wisconsin dates and I urge you to head out and discover or perhaps rediscover the live Paul Cebar experience.

Readers outside of Wisconsin do yourself a favor and listen/download “She Found A Fool” below for your initial introduction. Hopefully you’ll be incited to dig further into his catalog.

2/20 – Paul Cebar – Club Garibaldi, Milwaukee
2/21 – Paul Cebar – Harmony Bar, Madison

Buy: Get-Go

First saw Paul in 1981 in Oshkosh (the B&B!!) and have been a huge fan ever since. Would love to see him play more shows in New England. Those of you in Milwaukee, please go out and enjoy this incredible artist! The best good-time band in America!
