The Felice Brothers :: Yonder Is The Clock

felice-bros-pabst.JPG

Damn fine news for a Monday! The Felice Brothers, who’s 2008 release earned a spot on our list of favorite albums of the year, are set to release a new record in 2009!

“Titled with a phrase drawn from the pages of Mark Twain, Yonder Is The Clock is a nod to all of the American ghosts that lend their narrative and characters to the forthcoming release. The Felice Brothers studio was built from the remains of an abandoned chicken coop and it was there over the summer and fall of 2008 that they wrote and recorded this new collection of songs. The record is teaming with tales of love, death, betrayal, baseball, train stations, phantoms, pandemics, jail cells, rolling rivers and frozen winter nights.”

Yonder Is The Clock will be released on April 7th via Team Love Records. Though there are no current Wisconsin or Chicago tour dates to speak of, though the band has a sizable tour lined up (including dates with Old Crow Medicine show!) in support of the new record. Catch them where you can, and I’m definitely going to catch them at SXSW.
