“I’ve seen him silence an entire room full (300 or so) of gossip prone drinkers/hipsters/rock-n-rollers/show-goers/tattooees and etc. types of folks in Chicago and put a good many of them on the verge of tears, with exuberant applause after every song. It was beautiful. Just one guy, one instrument and his songs captivating a large audience. Gave me the chills.” —Roy Berry, Lucero
As a long-time fan of William Elliott Whitmore, I had high expectations of Animals In The Dark prior to hearing it. I’m happy to report it far exceeds any and all expectations I had. Take a watch/listen to “Hell or High Water” above (thanks to our friends at KEXP), and pick up Animals In The Dark. Now if I could just get the guy to do a show in Wisconsin.

his Daytrotter Presents show in Rock Island was one of the better shows I’ve seen this year. truly a must-see, even if you aren’t well-versed in his catalog. the man can captivate.

He’s playing Tampa this Saturday night.
I *CAN NOT* wait.
First show of the year that I’m actually giddy about.
