It’s hard to believe the Pitchfork Music Festival is going on it’s 4th year. It’s definitely one of our favorites. It’s got all the big names, less space to cover, affordable food and drink prices, and it’s only a short trip from Milwaukee!
Per usual, the festival offers plenty of MoB favorites as well as some band’s we’re really excited to see and hear for the first time.
In the initial announcement on Pitchfork today, this is what we’re working with so far. Some surprises, some not. Friday alone is worth the trip.
Friday, July 17
Built to Spill, The Jesus Lizard , Yo La Tengo, Tortoise
Saturday, July 18
The National, Pharoahe Monch, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart + many more!
Sunday, July 19
Grizzly Bear, The Walkmen , Vivian Girls + many more!

Hey Ryan…
How’s about using some of that Pabst Theater pull to get the National to play a Pitchfork warmup and/or cool down show in Milwaukee?

I second that notion

Just saw official word on The National’s website.
You guys rock harder than Sabbath!
