Celebrating the 5th Anniversary of the High Noon Saloon, Crystal Antlers will play a special $5 early show on Tuesday, May 5th. I’ve had former co-workers, friends, enemies, and all sorts of e-mails telling me Crystal Antlers are the next big thing. I can’t say I’ve gotten a full listen yet, but for $5 I’ll take a chance on just about anyone live.

Not to be confused with Crystal Castles, Crystal Stilts, Crystal Method, and The Antlers. This is your typical “one hit wonder” indie rock band that tries to sound like something from “the past” and will achieve their 14.5 minutes of fame in the warm glow of all the Pitchfork babies. Save your $5, you might need it later.
I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss any so-called “Pitchfork babies.” Granted, a lot of artists today who fall under that umbrella are a flash-in-the-pan, but purely due to that attitude, Jason. It’s impossible to foster a music scene or a career for that matter with people like you. If you want better shows in Madison you need to step up and support the shows that Madison does get. Also, I’d be interested to know what your listening to these days?
