Tonight two of my favorite things merged on Monday night: Wilco and the Milwaukee Brewers. Jeff Tweedy took the mound at Milwaukee’s Miller Park to toss out the ceremonial first pitch. It was a high heater, probably a ball, but I’m no umpire. While the Brewers couldn’t keep a lead, the night was a great way to kick off Wilco’s two-night stint at the Pabst Theater.

That is totally wild! Thank you for these photos! I always thought Jeff was a Cubs fan. Let’s hope that the Brew Crew have a great year and make the playoffs again.

Nice work. I am very impressed that you pulled this off. However, next time you might want to suggest to Jeff that he wears something a bit more flexible. Personally, I have had trouble getting the snap on my curveball when wearing a jean jacket. Well, such is the life a rockstar. He looks better in the jacket than me anyway…

Thanks for sharing these!
I’m way out of the viewing market for Brewers games, so I didn’t get a chance to see this.
Cheers,

It was funny listening to the FSN crew try to talk music with Tweedy in the 3rd inning. Brian compared Wilco’s following with the Grateful Dead, and Jeff just went with it. What a good sport.

is it true that the sausage racers were wilco?

as far as I know it was just members of the crew, not the band.

A great consolation to a rough outing.
Maybe Macca should offer Tweedy Suppan’s spot.

Isn’t Tweedy a Cards fan?

The Brewers would be wise to sign this Cardinal fan front-man
