I love both bands, but Son Volt is at another level of intensity when it comes to live perfomances. they blow wilco off the stage, which is hard to do since wilco is that good. Son Volt rocks. Wilco and Son Volt are just different. As a huge "uncle T" fan I can appreciate both bands. Son Volt and Jay still out shine Wilco every day of the week. I've been to many many Son volt Shows and Wilco shows and even though Jay doesn't say much on stage between songs. He doesn't need to the songs speak for him and the band. Jay can fit more music in a 2 hour show then anyone in the world and isn't that what it is all about. So JIM. Maybe you should think before you talk or chat.
