The Fiery Furnaces ready their 8th album, I’m Going Away for release on July 21st through Thrill Jockey Records. I’ve was a huge fan of Gallowsbird’s Bark and Blueberry Boat and was hit-or-miss with some of the stuff that came after. I caught them at the Annex a few years back in support of Widow City, which was a great show.

I’m only one listen through I’m Going Away, so I’ll reserve my full review for a later date, but I do have to say this sounds great. You can grab/download the track “The End Is Near” as an audio preview of the upcoming release below.
