After countless highly regarded house shows in Madison, Two Cow Garage have made the leap into the High Noon Saloon for a show on Tuesday, August 25th. The band is on the road in support of their new album, Speaking In Cursive, which I will totally vouch for as essential listening.

I always liked that band – and house shows sometimes tend to be the best shows in WI.
One of the most promising ones is going to be on August 13th in Appleton, WI.
Tenement will be playing their house with Used Kids (a large portion of which formerly composed arguably WI’s best band – The Modern Machines) who put on a killer set at SXSW this year and are now all living in Brooklyn.
Rounding out that show is folk artist J Quentin from MA and Terminated Television from Stevens Point.
Definitely worth checking out.
Used Kids/Tenement will also be playing with Nobunny in Milwaukee at The Vault and then again on the 20th in Milwaukee and possibly an early show in Madison.
Be on the lookout for those.

Another thing you may be interested in;
Park Rock.
It’s a 2 day Rock n’ roll festival in Wisconsin Rapids at Robinson Park.
$5 for one day or $9 for the two day pass.
24 of the best local bands – it’s usually curated by some of the members of The Ska’ttsmen and features a lot of great local bands.
It’s on July 31/August 1.

I missed their recent show at Kiki’s and regret it immensely. I’m very happy to hear they’ll be playing the High Noon – I only hope the show won’t be terribly late, stupid job and all.
