Posted on Wednesday 17 June 2009

After countless highly regarded house shows in Madison, Two Cow Garage have made the leap into the High Noon Saloon for a show on Tuesday, August 25th. The band is on the road in support of their new album, Speaking In Cursive, which I will totally vouch for as essential listening.

Lollapalooza Schedule Released

Posted on Wednesday 17 June 2009

I’m looking forward to Lollapalooza again this year. The festival is always a great time and is a super close/convenient get away from here in Milwaukee. My friends and I will always make the trek. The line up is solid, packed with great stuff from the past and present. Take a look at the schedule and drop a comment with the artists you’re not going to miss this year.

I’m looking forward to: The Low Anthem, Portugal. The Man, Passion Pit, Band of Horses, and many more.

Muzzle of Bees & 91.7 WMSE Present :: Lewis & Clarke

Posted on Wednesday 17 June 2009

I am thrilled to be bringing one of my absolute favorite bands, Lewis & Clarke to the Sugar Maple in Bay View along with my friends at 91.7 WMSE. Two of their records, Bare Bones & Branches (2005) and Blasts of Holy Birth (2007) made our year-end list of favorites from their respective years. Stereogum got it right in describing “Petrified Forest” (download below) calling it, “hypnotic mountain folk, setting reedy vocals against spare and elegant guitars, gradually swooning into a near seven-minute piece full of strings and woodsy imagery.”

On top of that, the label run by Lewis & Clarke mastermind Lou Rogai is responsible for delivering Strand of Oaks to all of our ears. The show will be good times in intimate confines. We’re excited and hope you are too!

Buy Tickets: Brown Paper Tickets – $8
