Count me as one of the many anticipating the next record from The Swell Season. Their show at Overture Hall in Madison last year wound up being one of the year’s best.
The Swell Season return on September 29th with the release of Strict Joy on Anti- Records. An interesting side note about the album is that MoB favorite, Doveman holds down piano duties and Clark Gayton from Levon Helm’s band is also on board.

Anti- is getting to be one of the best music labels out there; Swell Season, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, and, most recently, Dead Mans Bones.
The Swell Seasons show at the Riverside was one of the best I’ve ever seen – looking forward to this. Although it is odd that Dovemans on piano and not Marketa…
