Video: Blitzen Trapper – “Black River Killer”

Let’s try this again. The last time I posted this video it wasn’t quite ready for release. Now we’ve got the thumbs up to share it with you for real. “Black River Killer” comes via Blitzen Trapper’s Furrour favorite album of last year. Milwaukee friends can catch them in a couple weeks at the Pabst (7/20). I’ll be traveling the state of Montana later this month and Blitzen Trapper just happen to be playing The Filling Station/VFW in Bozeman while I’ll be there. I think I’m gonna have to check out out.

So far, this and Over It (Dino Jr) are really the only truly great music videos to come out this year. Short Fuse (Black Lips) was pretty awesome as well.
I think they’re releasing a BRK EP/Single sometime soon. I’ll have to look into it. Furr was also one of my favorites from last year.

Another video to add to that list; See Fernando (Jenny Lewis) and that short film for the Dead Weathers “Treat Me Like Your Mother” looks very, very, VERY promising.

The Dirty Projector’s recent video for “Stillness Is the Move” is one of the better videos I’ve seen this year. Can’t hold up to “Black River Killer” though.

I like the Elvis Perkin’s video of “Chains, Chains, Chains” that was just on here. Made me buy the record. Where are you going in Montana besides Bozeman? Try to see Little Big Horn Battlefield if you are in the area. I have other Montana suggestions!

I second the sentiments on “Stillness Is The Move” – great stuff.
