I'm in 100% agreement with Dan and Craig. The Jesus Lizard was just immense. The waves of people throughout the set were soooo fun, dodging Yow's boots, and trying to stay upright was what this show was about. That they played perfectly was even better. I was on the left (in front of Duane), so I don't know how David Wm Sims was doing, but Duane was having a great time. I'm seeing them at ATP in September, and can't wait for the indoor show. Hopefully they play a show or two at Turner Hall in November.

I watched the Yo La Tengo set online. That looked and sounded great to me. I'm hoping they keep the tour rolling through the Midwest later this year.

The Jesus Lizard stole the night and likely the entire festival. It will be difficult for any band to top their performance. David Yow was in prime form, and his stage presence, well let's just say you'd be hard pressed to find a better front man of any age. Yow Stats: 3 long neck Budweisers consumed during the set, 5 stage launches (over the deep photo pit), 63 spit projectiles, and 1 incredible show with a 2 song encore. Yow announced that they'll be doing 2 shows at the Metro on November 27th & 28th. Hopefully Milwaukee can get a night on this tour. This show easily ranks as my favorite show of 2009.
