We’re Half Awake In A Fake Empire

Though I’m super excited for new material, you can’t go wrong with classics from The National’s catalog. Their show at the Pabst Theater last week was one of the best shows I’ve seen all year. If you missed that night’s take on “Mr. November,” you missed one of the best Milwaukee concert moments of the year. Above, take a look/listen to “Fake Empire” from said performance.

    Agreed, wholeheartedly.
When Berninger jumped down into the crowd he nearly landed on my girlfriend and myself – and then let us share vocal duties with him by holding out the mic for us to sing into.
Here’s an in-the-crowd video of Mr Novmeber/About Today.
Probably the most uplifted I’ve ever felt at a show.
DEFINITELY made up for the long wait/mediocre opening act.

Ha! Sorry, my computers slow and that active link didn’t pop up. My apologies. Loved the three new songs as well.
