There was a ton of great music going on in Madison last night. The Cool Kids returned to Madison to a huge crowd at the Majestic Theatre. Muzzle of Bees photographer Ed Oliver was there and brought back the stunning images you see here.

Discuss: Who did you see last night? What were the highlights of what you saw?

Tonight: The Rural Alberta Advantage + Roadside Graves

I’m thrilled to be co-presenting tonight’s fantastic triple bill of The Rural Alberta Advantage + Roadside Graves + The Daredevil Christopher Wright with my friends at the WUD Music Committee. Anyone who caught The Rural Alberta Advantage last night at the Cactus Club in Milwaukee will tell you they put on an amazing show. It was one of the best I’ve seen all year. Easy.

This free event lifts off around 8:30 and I would highly encourage anyone not familiar with the opening bands to get there early. I promise you’ll be impressed. There is a ton of great music going on in the city of Madison tonight, so choose wisely and enjoy whatever you check out.

Tonight in Madison: The Cool Kids

Posted on Saturday 22 August 2009

Muzzle of Bees is proud to present the Cool Kids tonight at the Majestic Theatre in Madison. Since their packed set at the UW Rathskeller, the group has only grew in popularity and draw. Tickets are still available ($15) and please note the venue change from the Orpheum Stage Door to the Majestic Theatre.

Before you go, watch the Black Cab Session combining freestyle with improved beats on Black Cab interior. One of the best videos from the Black Cab Sessions and the only one to include lyrics of “nine gold infants.”

Radio Summer Camp :: Muzzle of Bees Stage (Saturday)

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Cactus Club last night for our first night of bands at Radio Summer Camp. It was one of the best nights of the summer, if not the year.

Tonight, we get local, showcasing two of my favorite Milwaukee bands, Decibully + The Celebrated Workingman plus The Smith Westerns in town from Chicago.

Of course, that’s not all that’s going on. You should also make the Radio Summer Camp Backyard BBQ your mid-day destination for free BBQ and jams courtesy of Paul Cebar, Cedarwell, The Championship, Joe Pug & Justin Townes Earle. That’s a free event folks taking place at Cathedral Square Park in downtown Milwaukee.

In related news, Bon Iver will play a special sunrise concert at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles on the morning (~6am) of Sunday, September 27th. Seems like a event worth traveling for….
