I was recently introduced to Peter Wolf Crier via e-mail and on the good recommendation of Jeremiah Nelson. The musical collaboration of Peter Pisano and Brian Moen came to fruition following an “eight-month long creative dry spell.” The resulting music makes up the recently released Inter-Be.
On first listen I heard a lot of M.Ward in Pisano’s voice, especially on the album’s opening track “Crutch & Cane.” Repeated listens revealed an album too beautiful to be ignored, one that I’m very excited to share an audio slice with you today. The following two songs are the first that appear on Inter-Be. They drew me in and sold me. Take a listen and I’m sure you’ll feel the same.

Fantastic!
Do check out Laarks as well, also featuring Moen, whose record “An Exaltation of Laarks” was released yesterday via Absolutely Kosher.

Peter is a great songwriter. If you dig this, make sure to check out his band, The Wars of 1812. I’m looking forward to their new album.

Thank you! I’m a huge fan of both of these fellows in their other bands, I’m so happy they’ve teamed up, I’ll be buying immediately.

i’m currently obsessed with this album. can’t wait to see them at schubas with sharon van etten. ironically instead of m. ward, i hear a mix of conor oberst and jim james in the vocals.
