Three of this decade??? Tough ?
    1) Phish – Farmhouse (had to put one of 4 from this decade, and this is my favorite)
    2) My Morning Jacket – Z
    3) The Hold Steady -Separation Sunday

  2. Bessie Says:

the whole decade. wow. I’m going to go with a few that landed in my ears and stayed there for months, and will hold relevance far beyond this decade (there are probably 30 more I could list that belong in this category):

    Sufjan Stevens, Illinois
    Feist, The Reminder
    The Postal Service, Give Up

  3. JB Says:

Favortie albums from the last decade? I can barely remember the last 30 days.

  6. Alicia Hanson Says:

Loved the Club Garibaldi show, so would most definitely be interested in experiencing all that is Edward Sharp & the Magnetic Zeros, again. I’ll bet they are one of those bands who just get better each time you see them.

What are my favorite records from this decade? This is tough. It may be unfair to those bands with recent releases, but my criterion has to be those albums I continually go back to. You know the ones that never leave your brain. The ones you have to consciously not listen to in order to let new music in.

    Here goes:

Bright Eyes – I’m Wide Awake It’s Morning (This album truly launched my musical tastes out of the mainstream and thus I got serious about searching for different types of music).

Tegan and Sarah – The Con (I just love these girls)

Rise Against – The Sufferer and the Witness (I will always love loud concerts with screaming, and these guys have it. Secondly, they often have a positive message or at least something to say).

Honorable Mentions: MGMT – Oracular Spectacular, The Avett Brothers – I and Love and You, and Paramore – All We Know is Falling

  7. Jenn Says:

    Wilco- Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
    Radiohead- Kid A
    Blur- Think Tank

(It was hard to just pick three).
