Wisconsin Concert Announcement: Dr. Dog

We’re quite fond of Dr. Dog. Their 2008 release, Fate, made our list of favorites last year. As much as I love their records, seeing them live is even better. Their opening set before Wilco’s 2007 show at the Overture Hall in Madison remains a highlight amongst the three times I’ve seen these guys live.

I’m happy to report they’ve planned two Wisconsin stops in 2010. The first at Turner Hall Ballroom in Milwaukee on Thursday, February 4th. The second at the High Noon Saloon on Friday, February 5th. Both shows feature The Growlers as support.

I recently saw them in Austin and really enjoyed their show. Big fan of the band, so I can’t wait for these shows. Oh, and Feb. 5th is my birthday, so that’s even extra fun.

Don’t miss them. They are so fun Live…and their new cd, “Shame, Shame” comes out in the new year so they will probably play new stuff with the old. But, before seeing them, listen to their old stuff, esp. “We All Belong’ cd and also, “Easy Beat” and “Takers and Leavers” and “Toothbrush” and “Passed Away” …etc. They play stuff from lots of their old cds on tour… Check out the Youtube videos from their hometown shows in Philly and Fairmount Park when they did the live, free shows. That is when they were the best.. They would play for hours and have people onstage with them, etc. a real party.. They are best Live…
