I know I'm in the minority on this one, but I have to say it anyway.

After a string of such high-quality albums from Gillian this one sounds like it was recorded in her bedroom. There are tracks where the guitar is barely audible. Gillian and Dave are pros, so I can only guess they did it on purpose to showcase her voice. However, sound quality-wise this one was a disappointment.

Gillian HAS almost completely disappeared. Sure she's touring with Dave...only fair after all those years of him backing her up. But it's been almost 6 years since Soul Journey. She retains the right to do whatever she pleases, ("Everything is free") But as a fan, I call no new output in six years disappearing.

An unpopular opinion I know, but you don't have to agree.

So glad you picked this one! It's such an easy, natural record that it seemed like she could record one like it every year. It's hard to believe six years later, there's still no hint of a follow-up.
