I’m excited for the spring tour. They chose a lot of very intimate venues to play at.

Great review, and great pics! I was to far in the back to get any good pics but I took a bunch of videos (to far back to be scolded, I also covered up the red light with electrical tape before hand) if anybody wants to check them out

Great review – thanks. I was trying to find that Handsome Family tune he played, thanks so much. I knew that there would be at least one detail-oriented fan/reviewer out there who would deliver!

I was actually the guy in the front row that he chastised for recording Heavy Metal Drummer and Jesus, Etc. towards the end of the show. Oops! I just wanted to be able to show my kids! Great video though – a recording of Jeff Tweedy scolding me for recording Jeff Tweedy.

I definitely have to dig out my Sunken Treasure DVD now. Jeff solo shows are indeed a treasure. Looks like Wilco’s pretty busy in the beginning of 2010, but I hope Jeff could make a run of solo dates at some point next year.

This is some great reading. I’ve seen Wilco 3 times now, but have never had the honor of a solo Tweedy show…I’m quite jealous. (Although I’m sure I’d miss Nels Cline’s shredding.)

Fine review. Glad to know MOB’s far flung correspondents are out and about bringing these types of features to its readers.

As for the “non-amplified” singing, I’ve seen Tony Bennett do this outside (the Marcus Ampitheatre!) and inside, and Glen Hansard do it inside as well, both to great effect.
