Before last month’s intimate show at the Cactus Club, we went out to dinner at Palomino with Sharon Van Etten. The dish of the night was the highly recommended “Twin Peaks” monster of a sandwich. We had a wonderful time and tardily scurried back over to the Cactus Club for sound check. We had some downtime, which we used to convince Sharon to let us to flip on the camera and start rolling. The result is a beautiful version of “A Joke Or A Lie” for a new video series called Broken Harbors we’re doing with the amazingly talented Colin Bridgham.

New free MP3 and video series featuring Sharon, my new indie heartthrob and favorite artist I’ve discovered this year.
The track is great, with a little bit more production than you would find on her debut album.
