Review: Jill Andrews – House Show, Madison

Words: Jeffrey Kollath | Video: Spencer Wells

Last night, while bathed in the glow of vintage beer signs and wood paneling, Jill Andrews and Josh Oliver played to a small, but deeply appreciative and awe-struck crowd in a Madison home. The setlist included songs from her recent self-titled EP, selections from the everybodyfields catalog, and a spectacular version of Yim Yames’ “Bermuda Highway.”

The stunning beauty of this show cannot be stated with mere words, so we’ll let Spencer Wells’ excellent videography do the talking for us. Many thanks to Jill and Josh for coming to Madison on such short notice, and to all of you who attended the show. The duo is playing with Cadillac Sky at Martyr’s in Chicago on Thursday evening and at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan on Friday, so check them out if you can.

Jill and Josh were incredible last night! Such a great show, especially getting to see it in a cozy, wood paneled basement. Can’t wait for more shows at the North Mendota Supper club!

Jill’s voice is stunning! We just cut a few tracks today for a hearya session and once again, I was knocked out. This house show looks/sounds like it was a great experience. Well done!
