I was late getting into Mogwai. I blew all previous chances to see them live. I’ve spent the better half of the last year devouring their albums start-to-finish on headphones. They’re now atop my short lists of bands I need to see live. Soon. Despite coming late to the party, there’s a lot to look forward to if you’re a fan of the band.
On August 24th, the band will release a live DVD entitled Burning that was directed by Vincent Moon & Nathanael Le Scouarnac of La Blogotheque fame. If this is the first you’ve heard of the release, I urge you to watch the trailer above. The release is accompanied Special Moves, an 11-track live album. Plenty to get excited about.

Yeah, agreed – one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen.
