Today you can get the new Strand of Oaks album, Pope Killdragon exclusively at eMusic as part of their “Selects” program. This album follows last year’s gorgeous “Leave Ruin“>Leave Ruin,” which was one of our favorite albums of the year and allowed us to bring Tim to Milwaukee, Madison as well as our SXSW showcases. It’s safe to say that Strand of Oaks is one of our favorites.
Pope Killdragon builds on the foundation captured in its predecessor, mixing in synths, Neil Young inspired solos, creating one of the year’s most exciting releases. Take a listen to “Bonefire” from the new album, and head over to eMusic and download the rest. Just wait till you hear “Sterling.”

This is sounding great. The Sterling track that you featured from the house show, and recommend above, is stunning!
First thing I did when I got to work this morning is dispose of those pesky 10 eMusic credits…

Yeah I know we are a few days late to the party, but Ryan is so hard to stay ahead of. Here’s our review of the SOA album.
So good.
