Seriously, I thought it was just me who was disappointed in Jessica Lea Mayfield most recent attempt, I mean she had Dan Auerbach as a producer. Maybe I just don’t have enough heartbreak in me to enjoy the melancholy.

mayfield’s with blasphemy so heartfelt was pretty good, and impressed most because of her age at the time, i’d say. this sounds like it lacks the vocal angst of that album, which was also auerbach produced. vocals aren’t blasted with reverb, which is nice for once. i think i like it? time will tell.
