I was working on a New Year’s shows list for Dane101 and got really frustrated. Seems like Madison has hit a serious dry spell.

  6. bluesphee Says:

You may be interested in adding two new shows to this list: 1) Norah Jones @ The Riverside Theater (MKE) on May 5th and 2) The Long Winters @ The Miramar Theatre (MKE) on March 23.

  7. bluesphee Says:

Josh Rouse was just announced to play The Pabst on 4/15.

  8. bluesphee Says:

I just posted on Mirr World about Page France playing Stonefly Brewery in Milwaukee ( http://mirrworld.blogspot.com/ ) on 4/5 along with Headlights. Thought you might want to add this one too.

I feel like I’m spamming your show list, but I like having this updated for my own reference :)

    http://www.myspace.com/Broceans
-mostly instrumental with a midwestern ethos - likened to Appleseed Cast, Explosions in the Sky, Unwed Sailor, Mogwai

    http://www.myspace.com/mtsthelens
-chicago math-rock at its best, angular yet melodic

    http://www.myspace.com/haymarketriot

Athlete is a UK band that I absolutely LOVE - they’re playing the Shattuck Auditorium in Waukesha on April 7th.

Unfortunately, its an opening gig for a crappy pseudo-Christian positive punk outfit “Switchfoot”. Oh well, I guess I’ll have to leave early.
