Have you caught Crocodiles live yet? I walked up about two songs into their set in Austin before it came to a climactic conclusion. Definitely a band I want to see and hear more of in 2009. Their forthcoming album Summer of Hate, drops April 28th via Fat Possum Records. Stereogum recently anointed them as a “Band To Watch” for 2009, describing them as “The Velvet Underground swinging Jesus and Mary Chain.”

I was gonna wait to introduce you guys to Crocodiles via a future podcast, but will instead drop two tracks from the album on you as a free and legal download below. Chicago fans catch a free show with them at the Empty Bottle on Monday, April 13th.
