Milwaukee Concert Announcement: Sharon Van Etten

Posted on Friday 4 December 2009

SharonVanEtten

Along with 91.7 WMSE we are thrilled to be co-presenting the immensely talented Sharon Van Etten at the Cactus Club on Wednesday, January 20th. You may have caught her opening for Rain Machine or heard her guest vocal appearance (“Thirteen”) on The Antlers album, Hospice.

You certainly don’t have to take our word on Sharon’s greatness, her song “Much More Than That” topped Said The Gramaphone’s Best Songs of 2009 and was so rightly lauded as a “Record That I Really Wish More People Would Hear” over at Chocolate Bobka.

Update: Sharon Van Etten releases The Catbirdseat’s #1 album of 2009

Tickets for Sharon Van Etten’s Wednesday, January 20th show at the Cactus Club are $7 and are on sale now.

Sea Wolf :: White Water, White Bloom

Posted on Friday 25 September 2009

swolf

I’m very excited about the upcoming Sea Wolf show at Mad Planet in Milwaukee on Wednesday, September 30th. The band just released their new album, White Water, White Bloom which builds on, and, in my opinion, surpasses the greatness of their 2007 release, Leaves in the River.

Milwaukee’s own Pezzettino recently released a video blog/recording of “Wicked Blood” from White Water, White Bloom.

Giveaway: We’ve got a copy of White Water, White Bloom on CD & Vinyl to give away. Drop a comment letting us know the next concert on your calendar and we’ll select two winners randomly next week. Please indicate if you would prefer the CD or Vinyl in your comment.

Buy: Sea Wolf | White Water, White Bloom
