I’m looking forward to the upcoming new record from The Walkmen, who return to Madison on Sunday, September 14th for a show at the Annex. New York’s Golem will open things up. I had the misfortune of missing them the last time they swung through the city, and by all accounts I remember hearing it was a show to remember.

The Walkmen release You & Me later this year and you can currently listen to their first single “In The New Year” via their myspace page. If it’s any indication of the rest of the record, we’re in for one of the year’s best releases.
